Edward H. Tupa, 73, of 16 SW Third Ave. died Thursday morning, June 29, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, following a sudden illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. George J. Freeman officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday in Boldt Funeral Home and Saturday prior to the service. Parish vigil prayers will be said at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted by the Faribault Aerie 1460, Fraternal Order of Eagles, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Edward Henry Tupa, son of Albert and Emma Tupy Tupa, was born July 7, 1915, in Cedar Lake Township, Scott County. He was employed at Sellner Manufacturing prior to his retirement.
He is survived by six children, Ronald of Mesa, Ariz., Donald, Kathryn Roloff, Patricia Thompson, Suzanne Malecha and Michael, Faribault; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mayme McCloskey of Farmington and Mrs. Alice Bushey of Faribault. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sabina Wadekamper.
