Cyril "Scott" Bierman, 74, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of St. Bernard, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001, at his home.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Cincinnati with the Rev. Robert Farrell officiating. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. rosary at Anderson Funeral Home in Cincinnati. Burial is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Mr. Bierman was born Feb. 7, 1926, at Lindsay to John and Clara (Schaefer) Bierman. He attended St. Bernard School. He was in the U.S. Army from 1944-47.

He married Dorothy Noth on Sep. 27, 1947, at Bridgetown, Ohio. He lived in Bridgetown before moving to Hamilton in 1988. He worked for Proctor and Gamble for 41 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of the church.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, John (Peggy) Bierman, Steve (Diane) Bierman, Ken (Connie) Bierman and Bill (Kathy) Bierman; one brother, Gene Bierman of Columbus; three sisters, Bernice Syslo of Fullerton, Imelda Loeffler of Columbus and Elaine Konwinski of Silver Creek; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard Bierman and an infant brother, John Bierman; and one sister, Delores Albracht.
