Mrs. Dorothy Blevins, 64, died Sunday evening at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She had been in Wichita a year and a half at the Center and at the Lakewood Village Nursing Home. She was born April 6, 1917. Mrs. Blevins was the daughter of Adam and Amelia (Strecker) Schmidt. She was a registered nurse and longtime Russell resident before moving to Wichita. She attended the School of Nursing in Gt. Bend and Marymount College in Salina, and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She married Paul Orville Blevins in 1943 in Russell.
Survivors, son Jerry of Wichita; brother Gerald Schmidt of Topeka; ; sisters Margaret Anderson, Mrs. Dale Danielson both of Russell and Mrs. Webster (Gladys) Hawkins of Osawatomie; 4 grandchildren.
