Laura J. (Dolly) Carignan, 81, passed away Friday, March 9th, in Abilene. She was born August 28, 1930 in Talmage, the daughter of Homer and Ida Mae (Estep) Allen. Growing to womanhood in Talmage, she attended Talmage Grade School and the Abilene Bible College. She was married to Marvin V. Cairns. He preceded her in death in 1961. In 1963, she was married to George Carignan.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Billie Cairns, two grandsons, Sean and Marvin J. Cairns, three sisters, Joyce Allen, Shirley Yorgensen and Jan Sawyer and 6 brothers, Richard, Orville, Howard, Tom, Elmer and Hugh Allen.

Cathy Krisher, Abilene
Sons - Dean Cairns, Abilene

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 13th, at the Danner Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Norman officiating. Interment will follow in the Paririedale Cemetery north of Talmage. The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. unto 7:00 P.M. Monday evening, March 12th, at the Danner Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Dolly Carignan Memorial fund. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
