Allie M. Cairns, 85, passed away Sunday, January 13th in Abilene. She was born March 24, 1933 in Talmage, the daughter of Homer and Ida (Estep) Allen. Growing up in the area, Allie attended local schools. On October 7, 1953, she was married to Clayton Cairns. Most of their married life was spent in Abilene. He preceded her in death in 2009. Allie had been employed by Abilene Steam Laundry, Abilene Trailer Sales and as a cook at Kansas State University. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and six brothers. Allie is survived by nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 17th, at the Danner Funeral Home followed by interment in the Prairiedale Cemetery north of Talmage.
