ABILENE — Shirley D. Yorgensen,60, Abilene, died Wednesday,Feb. 21, 1996, at Salina Regional Health Center.Mrs. Yorgensen was born Shirley D. Allen on Dec. 30, 1935,in the Detroit community and grew up in the Talmage area. She had been a cook and waitress in several area restaurants.An infant son, Roger, preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters,Jackie Kellum of Salina, Pam Carney of Abilene and Jeanie Graves of Minneapolis; a son, Ron of Abilene; four sisters, Laura Corigan, Allie Cairns, Barbara Sanderson and Jan Sawyer, all of Abilene; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Danner Funeral Home, Pastor Bill Lepping officiating.Burial will be in Prairedale Cemetery, Talmage.Memorials may be made to Shirley Yorgensen Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene 67410.
