Mr. Kizer worked in the Traffic and Transportation Division for Collins & Aikman 28 years. Mr. Kizer was an Army Veteran who served in the First Infantry Division in Germany in the Army of Occupation. He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping and volunteering as a truck driver for Community Food Rescue and Second Harvest Food Bank for 10 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Hazel (Kindley) Kizer, wife of 55 years of the home; son, Milton Jay Kizer and wife, Lynda; daughter, Ann LaLama; Mr. Kizer was the proud 'PawPaw' of Payton Jay Kizer, Weston Speed Kizer and Anthony Francis (Tony) LaLama; brother, Horace Kizer of Stanfield, NC; and sister, Alma Williams of Monroe, NC.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Lem Kizer, Reece Kizer and Rev. John I. Kizer; and sister, Mattie Clontz.
