Frank Patten, 59, passed at his home in Blue Hill township. He hadn't been well for a year, suffering from Cancer
.
The funeral was held at the Princeton Methodist Church, with the Rev. Olaf Olafsson officiating.

Frank Patten was born on July 8, 1876, in Baldwin township. He was the son of Sumner and Flora Patten, both of whom were born in Maine. When young his parents moved to Anoka, where he spent his boyhood. At age 20 he returned to Baldwin to settle on the Dorn farm. Two years ago he moved onto a farm in Blue Hill township.
On October 29, 1899, he was married to Sadie Looker, of Spencer Brook.
There were nine children. His wife and eight children survive; Beatrice (Ray) McKenney, Spencer Brook, Guy Lloyd and Roy, all of Princeton, Clair, Palmer, Alaska; and Kenneth, Lloyd and Muriel Jean reside at home. There are 14 grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. George McArdle and Mrs. Aurilla O'Connor of Anoka; one half brother, Chester Pearson, Princeton; and three half sisters, Mrs. Carrie Stauty, of Duluth, Mrs. Mina Marshall, of Maysville, Mo., and Mrs. Lizzie Marshall, of Osbourne, Kansas.
