WILLIAM PEARSON DIES ON FRIDAY
Had been ill for Year: Services Conducted Sunday Afternoon: Buried in Baldwin

William Chester Pearson, 76, died at his home in this village Friday morning at 3 o'clock. About a year ago he had a stroke of paralysis and since then has been in frail health. In the latter part of May he suffered a second stroke, which left him practically helpless.
William Chester Pearson was born in Baldwin Township, Sherburne County on October 10, 1859. His entire life was spent in the vicinity of Princeton. In the early days, he worked in the lumber camps and later purchased a farm in Baldwin Township.
On June 13, 1900, Mr. Pearson was married to Sophrona Wallace. There were two children, Gertrude, who made her home with her parents, and Lawrence of Bemidji. In 1903 Mr. Pearson sold his farm and moved to Princeton Village where he has since made his home.
He is survived by his wife, one son, and daughter, one granddaughter, and three stepsons, Eugene, Harry and Lyle Judkins. He also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Marshall, of Kansas, Mrs. Carrie Stauty, of Duluth; Mrs. Lumina Marshall of Missouri; Mrs. George McArdle, and Mrs. Rilla O'Connor, of Anoka.
Mr. Pearson was a kindly man, hardworking and scrupulously honest. He probably had not an enemy in the entire village. He found his chief pleasure with his family and his home.
Funeral services were conducted by Reverend S. S. Olafsson of the Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Baldwin Cemetery.
Among the out-of-town relatives and friends who were in attendance at the services, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pearson, Mrs. M. E. Groff and John Wallace of Bemidji; Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Stauty and family, of Duluth; Mr. and Mrs. Barney Harguth and Mrs. And Mrs. E. M.
