Zedic died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Marin Miles(Melvina). Funeral services were held at Brushy Creek Baptist Church. Zedic is one of the children who was born to George Washington James and Clarinda A. Westmoreland James. At the time of his death, he was survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mays Milton Barnett Sr.(Vannie); Mrs. Robert E. Garlington( Susan known as Sunie); Mrs. Edward Law Dillart( Jennie) and Mrs. Henry Martin Miles(Melvina) and one son, Boyce M. James of Fort Sill, Okla. Three daughters had died before him Effie James Greer, Lola Theresa James Lupo, and Etta James known as baby Florence James. He had one sister living at the time of his death, Mrs. H.W. Suber of Greer, South Carolina and one brother, J.H. James of Greer, South Carolina.
