At the Time of his death, he was survived by his Wife Ethel of Winter Park, Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Florence J. Wood of Greenville, South Carolina; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Miles and Mrs. Edward Dillard of Greenville, South Carolina. Boyce was predeceased by his son, Boyce Manly James Jr. who died during WWII. Boyce's obituary was published in The Sarasota Herald Tribune on the 28th day of May 1966.
