Jackson--Funeral services were held for Marion Nathaniel Killian, Monday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Arbyrd, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery near Jackson. The rites were conducted by the Rev. F.S. Scott.
Mr. Killian, 89 years old, died Saturday at the hospital in Kennett following a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer and leaves 61 direct descendants.
Mr. Killian was first married to Miss Frances Brotherton of near Patton, who preceded him in death, as well as children from this marriage. His second marriage was to Miss Minnie Hahn, who also preceded him in death, and to this union 12 children were born, five surviving. They are Carl Killian, Bertrand, Hubert Killian, Bridgeton; Mrs. Bern Abernathy, Bell City; Mrs. Carl Penzel, Jackson; and Mrs. Charles Holmes, Memphis, Tenn.
Other survivors include his third Wife, Mrs. Haley Killian, one stepson and a stepdaughter, 24 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
