Gordon Leroy was born Nov 14, 1916 on a farm in Blinsmon township. He received his education at Blinsmon School. He served in the US army during WW2 on Attu Island in Alaska. He married Dorothy Sorenson on Nov 1, 1941 at Luverne, Mn. They lived in Ventura, CA and finally moved to the family farm in Moody Co SD. Later they moved to Trent, SD in 1967. He was commander of the Trent American Legion Post #122 and also served as mayor of Trent. He was member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
