Charette, Florence M. - Florence M. Charette, 85, of North Star Road, Ellenburg, died Thursday, April 21, 1994, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh. She was born July 9, 1908, in Ellenburg Center, the daughter of Edgar and Flora (Lash) LaClair. In her earlier years, Mrs. Charette taught CCD classes at St. Edmund's Church. She was a communicant of St. Edmund's Church, Ellenburg, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. Charette was also a member of Court Little Rose 1300 Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was married to Francis Charette in 1925 and he died April 9,1976. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Harry (Veronica) LeClair of Utica, Bertha Snay of Cohoes, Mrs. Ivan (Elaine) Trombley of Chicopee, Mass., and Mrs. Paul (Lorraine) Tatro of Easthampton, Mass.; three sons, Leo Charette of Norristown, Pa., Morris Charette of Churubusco, and Royal Charette, of Williamson; three sisters , Irene Trombley of Ellenburg, Mrs. Francis (Beatrice) Dumas of Ellenburg and Rita Tourville of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Roy LaClair of Ellenburg and Donald LaClair of New Jersey; 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, Raymond Joseph Charette, died June 11, 1993. A sister, Leona Charette, died many years ago. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in Chateaugay Funeral Home. Members of the Court Little Rose 1300 CD of A and St. Edmund's Altar Rosary Society will meet at 8 p.m. today for the vigil wake service at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg with the Rev. Gilbert Menard celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.
