He united with the Amish Mennonite chruch near Hopedale, Tazwell Co., Ill, in his youth and was a faithful member until his death.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Bechler about four years ago. To this union were born 2 daughters. About eight months ago he with his family moved to Fisher, Ill., where he died of a lingering disease of consumption.
Funeral services were held at the church near Fisher, Ill., by Daniel Grieser in German and Peter Zehr in English. The remains were moved to Hopedale, Ill. for burial, where services were conducted by Peter Zehr of Foosland, Ill., in German and Samuel Garber of Tremont Ill., in English.
The deceased leaves a sorrowing wife, two daughters, father, mother, five brothers, four sisters and many friends to mourn his ealy departure. C. W. S.
