She was born Sept. 1, 1873, a daughter of Charles and Barbara Ann McCabe Alspaugh, in Van Wert-co. Her husband, Frank Bowers, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bowers was a member of Zion Lutheran church and of the ladies auxiliary of the Moose lodge.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Phillips, 845 N. Metcalf-st; Mrs. Grace Ford, Delphos; Mrs. Margaret Corderman, Dayton, and Mrs. Gertrude Overle, Los Angeles; two brothers, Joseph Alspaugh, Findlay, and William, Alberta, Canada.
The body is at the Lewis funeral home. Rev. M. D. White will officiate at services to be announced later. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
