NANTON, Oct. 19 – The funeral of the late James Elias Alspach, who died Sunday, October 15 at his home, southwest of Nanton, was held Tuesday from the United church. Rev. Charles Pinder officiating. Pallbearers were W. Deley, William Kirchoff, F. Comstock, T. McConnell, James McVein, and D. Ragan. Interment was made in Nanton cemetery.
The late Mr. Alspach was born at Delphas, Ohio, U.S.A., in 1874, and came to Nanton in 1903, residing here until his death. He was a farmer, and was a member of the United Brethren church.
He was a member of a family of ten children of whom all are living. His only relative in Canada is his brother, William Alspach, of Hartwell, Alberta.
