Mr. Edwin Jake ("Sonny") Bohl, age 46, died at his home near Devine, Texas, on Thursday, October 4, 1962. Mr. Bohl, born May 27, 1916, was the son of Edna Mechler Bohl and Edwin Eugene Bohl.
Mr. Bohl was a life-long resident of Devine. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, and he was a civil service employee. He was a member of Herman Sons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Eugene Bohl, who passed away March 27, 1956. Survivors include his mother, Edna Mechler Bohl; two brothers, James Paul Bohl of Devine, and Roy Anthony Bohl of San Antonio.
Rosary was recited Friday, October 5, in the chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. Mass was celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 6, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
