James Paul Bohl passed away peacefully October 23, 2000, at the age of 77 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Eugene Bohl and Edna Mechler Bohl; and his brother Edwin Jake (Sonny) Bohl. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Miller Bohl, and son, James Edwin Bohl. Additional survivors include brother, Roy Anthony Bohl and wife Joan of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Charlene Koenig of Santa Maria, CA; nieces and nephews Cathy Housman, Patricia Karpienski, Ann Deacon, Susan Swonson, Patricia Fitch, Carol Ann Lemon, Mark Bohl, William Koenig, James Koenig, Michael Miller, Patrick Miller and Frank Miller. Also close friends Creed and Ruth Traylor; Arthur and Mary Campsey & family; Leo and Liz Bendele; Vernell Sultenfuss & family; close cousins, Lillian Drake and Richard Heard.

James was a wonderful friend to everyone who knew him, as they felt blessed by his presence. The memory of his life will be cherished.

James served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a civilian at Kelly Air Force Base and retired after 37 years.

He was a life-long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion and Hermann Sons Siemering Lodge No. 32.

Rosary was recited 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2000, in the chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2000, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in the family plot beside his parents and brother who preceded him in death.
