Bertha Francis Turner Johnson, beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away at age 95 peacefully at home of natural causes.
Born December 26, 1916, Betty, as she liked to be called, was schooled in Ogden, Utah. She spent her life in Utah and California. She worked at various jobs, including as a waitress. She went to work at the railroad in Ogden and was eventually transferred to Sacramento, CA when the Ogden Depot closed. Later she was transferred to San Francisco. She worked for the railroad until retirement.
She was a beautiful lady both physically and internally. She was the oldest of eight children. She loved to do interior decorating and landscaping. She was a wonderful mother, always there when she was needed. A blessed grandmother as well, she will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her son Larry V. Christiaens, stepson Clark Johnson, grandsons Steven M. Christiaens, Larry V. Christiaens II, Todd T. Christiaens, Todd Johnson, and Chad Johnson; granddaughters: Kristine L. Warner, Deborah A. Grant, and Tracie V. Chandler; and many great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A special tribute goes out to her closest, dearest friend, Carol Murphy.
