Dale Roderick McLin grew up in Clinton, OK, where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Oklahoma and became employed by the Nash-Finch Co. in Clinton. Working up through the ranks, he became manager of the Clinton plant. After the closing of this plant in 1966, Dale worked for Nash-Finch in Scotts Bluff, NE, Rapid City, SD and finally in Grand Island, NE until his retirement in 1977.

Dale was married to Miss Modelle Reed on Nov. 26, 1933 in Cordell, OK. To this union were born two children, James Dale and Janet Gay. They were members of the First United Methodist Church. After Dale's retirement, they moved to Fort Worth, TX.

Survivors included his wife; a son, James D. of Fort Worth, a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Janet) Lanier, also of Fort Worth; three brothers, Tom McLin of Arlington, TX, Harvey McLin of Wichita Falls, TX, and Marvin McLin, of Wellston, OK. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hazel Butler. Funeral services were held in the Kern-Schneider-Kiesau Memorial Chapel, in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Clayton Hughes. Burial was in the Clinton cemetery under the direction of Kern-Schneider-Kiesau Funeral Home.
