George E. Stannard, 67, died Tuesday evening at the home of his father, Henry Stannard of Greenbush. Mr. Stannard was born in the village of Greenbush June 29, 1888, and his marriage to Miss Sara E. Stephenson of Burgettstown, Pa., took place on December 17, 1897. His wife died at Greenbush on December 18, 1931.
Survivors are his father, Henry Stannard, three brothers, Alan and Robert of Greenbush and Dr. Gilbert H. Stannard of Sheboygan. Mr. Stannard had made his home at various places including Rosendale, Ripon, Milwaukee and Greenbush. For many years he was a salesman for the Bonita Candy Company at Fond du Lac, and he spent a few years in the employ of the Gunz-Durler Company at Oshkosh. He held membership in the Odd Fellows lodge of Rosendale and Milwaukee, and the Erastus Stannard company, Sons of Union Veterans of Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Greenbush Methodist Church. The Rev. R. L. Greens will officiate and interment will be made in Greenbush cemetery beside his wife.
