Mr. Amos Reliford, a native of Adair County, died at the Methodist Evangelical Hospital in Louisville, Friday, 12:10 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, Oct. 30th at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Shiley Beard and Rev. James H. Jolly with burial in Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reliford, 69, lived on Route 5, in the Burdick Community where he moved 21 years ago in 1946. He was a member of the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was the son of Margaret Ellen Coomer and James A. Reliford. October 5, 1922 he was married to Lula Mae Burress who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, James Reliford, Mrs. E. R. Bragg, and Mrs. David Sharp, all of Louisville, and Glenn D. Reliford, Rt. 5, Campbellsville; 8 grandchildren; two brothers, Jim and Ed Reliford, of Columbia, and three sisters, Mrs. Finis Finn, Columbia; Mrs. Cecil Coffey, Greensburg, and Mrs. Condie Blades, Edmonton. One brother, Haze and one sister, Mrs. Maggie Coffee, preceded him in death. Pallbearers: Herman, Larue and Arvist Reliford, Ernest Finn, Buford and Thomas Coffee. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Turner, G. D. Beard, Buster Allen, Millard Stewart, Gip Leach, Billy Joe Kerr, Dr. M. M. Hall, Bobby Walters and Curry Stubbs.
