Mrs. Della Reliford Coffey, daughter of the late Mr. Acie Reliford and Mrs. Margaret Coomer Reliford, was born May 30, 1902, in Adair County and departed this life Thursday, April 30,1998, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. She was 95 years and 11 months of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Summershade United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Cecil R. Coffey December 18, 1927, and he preceded her in death March 26, 1994. To this union were born one son and one daughter. Surviving is Wanda Shuffett, Greensburg. Her son, Buford Coffey, preceded her in death June 11, 1988. Mrs. Coffey is also survived by a sister, Myrtle Blaydes, Metcalfe County; son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Joe E. Shuffett, and Jane Coffey, both of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Barney Shuffett. Greensburg. Steve Coffey, Brad Coffey and Tim Coffey, all of Greensburg; seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral for Mrs. Delia Reliford Coffey was conducted Saturday, May 2, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Liberty Church Cemetery. Rev. Gleason Bloyd officiated. Pallbearers were Barney Shuffett, Jeremy Coffey, Chad Brown, Steve Coffey, Brad Coffey, Jason Coffey, Tim Coffey and Scott Coffey.
