Elizabeth Jane Armstrong Meeks, married Mahlon Armstrong on 19 May 1849 and to this union was two sons and a daughter was born. they were Sarah Armstrong, Abbie B Armstrong, and Bluford "Booty" Armstrong. Elizabeth husband Mahlon Armstrong died in late 1854, then she married James Meeks on 24 June 1856, in Adair County, Mo.
Mrs Jane Meeks died at the home of her son-in-law Elmer Sears, Saturday. Her husband, James Meeks, died 4 to 5 years ago. Mrs Meeks was a old and highly respected woman.
