SARAH Mc CLUNG
---Mrs. Sarah Ann McClung, a resident of this city for a number of years, died at the home of her daughter, Catherine Hendricks in Colorado Springs, Colorado, last Thursday after an illness of several days of double pneumonia, being eight-one years, and ten months of age. Mrs. McClung went to Colorado three years ago to make her home with her daughter who cared for her during her illness.
---Sarah Ann Armstrong Meeks was born September 25, 1846. She was united in marriage to John McClung in 1868 in the LaPlata Community who preceded her in death. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survived to morn the lost of their dear mother. Elmer McClung of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Laura Mingus of Manta Vista, Colorado, Ella Banning of Brooklyn, New York, Catherine Hendricks of Colorado Springs, Colorado, James McClung of Mineral Wells, Texas, Ida Frost of Los Angeles, California and Bert McClung of Fulton, Mo., three sister, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Sears of Elmer, Mo., and Belta Miller of New Cambria, Mo., two brothers, James Meeks of Elmer, Mo., and Abraham Meeks of Billings, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
---She was united with the Methodist Church of which she was at the time of her death.
---Funeral services were held in LaPlata at the Methodist Church Sunday, November 4, 1928. Interment took place in LaPlata Cemetery.
