PLEVNA - Brian L. Bush, 49, died Feb. 10, 2012, in a tragic automobile accident, while trying to save his family.

He was born Feb. 25, 1962, in Hutchinson, to Cecil and Nell (Allison) Bush.

Brian was a 1980 Hutchinson High School graduate. He later graduated from truck driving school in Dodge City. Brian loved participating in mud runs with his mud truck. His farm and animals were an important part of his life. A lifetime resident of the Hutchinson area, he was a sign printer at Lowen Corporation for 16 years. In January 1995, he began working at Tyson Foods, where he was employed as a shipper.

On May 1, 2009, he married his soul mate, Annette (Roberts) Vedder in Hutchinson.

Brian is survived by his wife, Annette Bush; parents, Cecil and Nell Bush, Hutchinson; a sister, Rhonda Ford, Hutchinson; niece, Jennifer Ford, Hutchinson; nephew, Travis Ford, Maumelle, Ark.; stepson, Kyle Vedder, Hutchinson; stepdaughter, Brittany Vedder, McPherson; two grandchildren, Aaden Vedder, Hutchinson, and Emmit Childs, McPherson.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Chaplain Reta Joy Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary.
