Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials: American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Mr. Frakes was born in Vandalia, son of Charles and Edna Engle Frakes. He was a laborer for Decatur Local 159 and was affiliated with Freewill Baptist Church. He married Bernice Marsh in 1949.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Mrs. Dan (Vicki) Atteberry and Mrs. Chuck (Debbie) Clem, both of Decatur; brother, Edward of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Mrs. John (Flossie) Rager, Mrs. Ray (Betty) Brennan and Mrs. William (Doris) Danbury, all of Decatur; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
His parents, four brothers and four sisters preceded him.
