She was born to parents George and Mary B. Dolte (per her death certificate) in Weisenheim. She married Heinrich A. Stocke in Germany. They came to the United States with eight children, arriving in New York, New York February 26, 1872 on the ship Bremen. A son Jacob preceded them to Pittsburgh. Two children died as infants in Germany. Their youngest child died in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania four months after arrival. She died October 3, 1894 of Phthisis Pulmonalis and Bronchitis, was buried October 5, 1894.
