Mrs. Broadwell's ledgerstone, which is distinguished by incised floral and tree motifs and a soul effigy whose folded wings suggest a heart, appears to be the work of noted Elizabeth, NJ, stonecutter Ebenezer Price or one of his apprentices. The wording of the inscription (see below) is curiously spaced, suggesting that this part of the stone was not cut by the masterful Price but an amateur craftsman.
