Keturah "Kitty" Beach Young was twice widowed. Her first husband, Darling Beach, with whom she had a daughter Elizabeth, died at the age of 29 in 1793. She later married David Young, who also predeceased her. She was the daughter of the well-known Rev. Jacob Greene, longtime pastor of Hanover's First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Young died at age 89 after having been bedridden for nearly half of her life, a trial she bore "cheerfully through the consolations of the Gospel..."
