Bessie Ernst, 88, of South Second Street, Danville, died Friday at her home.
Born May 14, 1917, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John and Lilly Hasting Green. She was an employee of Palm Beach. She was the widow of Jose Ernst.
Survivors include a son, Bill Ernst of Stanford; four daughters, Frances Ernst of Danville, Freida Berger of Louisville, Mary K. Durham of Prescott, Ariz. and Margaret Caldwell of Canal Fulton, Ohio; three brothers, Ray and Norman Green, both of Danville, and Sam Green of Paris, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Molly Walker.
