Earlene Chase Carter was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 16, 1935. She passed away in a tragic auto accident on January 29, 2012. She has been a resident of Torrance for the past 53 years. Earlene was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a woman of great faith and lived a life of service to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Earlene will be greatly missed and remembered by her family and those who knew and loved her. She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Norm) Salvesen of Mission Viejo, Lori (Martin) Millard of Costa Mesa; her sons, Scott (Shelly), Kent (Cheryl), both of Torrance, Ron (Shelly) of San Marcos; sister, Shirley Stoutsenberger; brothers, John Chase, Doug Chase, Jim Chase and Ken Chase; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeff; husband, Joe, and 2 great grandchildren, Chase and Libby.
