Robert "Bob" Chase was born March 2, 1928 to S. Earl and Loretta Chase in Los Angeles, California. He was the second of seven children. Bob was a mischievous child always getting in trouble for his minor misdeeds. He was also a fun loving guy. He attended and graduated from Washington High School. Soon after graduation he was called on a mission to serve the Lord to the people in Mexico. Upon returning home he attended UCLA. While in college he met and married Joann Bateson in June of 1952. Upon graduation he went to work for his father at Chase's Appliances. He managed the family business upon the death of his father in 1960 until he retired in 1997. During his life he served the Lord in many calling including Bishop of the Rolling Hills Ward. For the past 20 years he has served many posts in the Cabrillo Spanish Branch. He will be greatly missed by his six children, nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, six remaining siblings and extended family.
