The daughter of Steve (Sebastiano) and Veneranda (Orler Sweitzer) Dalla Sega. Cecilia Catherine had polio. She died at about 5 years of age during a whooping cough bout on Easter Sunday morning 1924.
Uncle John and Aunt Catherine (Dalla Sega) Orler took baby Cecelia when the baby's Mother, Veneranda, had a goiter operation [or the Spanish flu of 1918]. Aunt Catherine did not want to return the baby and continued to raise her.

Father Sebastiano and Aunt Catherine were brother/sister.

I also just discovered Catherine "Aunt Katie" Orler died January 6, 1924. The baby died a few weeks later, April 20, 1924, in Ambridge. She was probably back with her parents after Aunt Katie died.
The family was living at 436 Elm Rd, Ambridge, PA. The baby died while Veneranda was at church Easter morning. Reported by her daughter my Aunt Virginia.
12/21/2012 The caretaker of the St. Veronica Cemetery (renamed Good Samaritan Cemetery in 2004) said at one time this cemetery was named St. Martins Cemetery for the parish priest at the time. I made a call this morning to Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ambridge, PA, at 724-266-6565 and was connected to the cemetery caretaker who kindly provided the information. mhm
7/31/2013 We visited Good Samaritan Cemetery. Another visitor mentioned that St. Veronica burials were on the left side of the cemetery road and St. Stanislaus was on the right side. We first looked for Aunt Rose Orler's distinctive violin shaped marker. It was on the far left at the tree line. Celia's marker was 8 rows directly in front of Aunt Rose's.
