Veneranda married a childhood friend and schoolmate, Peter James Svaizer/Sweitzer of Mezzano and then Newell on Nov. 19, 1906. Peter died after a lightning strike at their home July 13, 1916.
Veneranda (Orler) Sweitzer married Sebastiano "Steve" Dalla Sega of Ambridge also from Mezzano on Nov. 15, 1917 in Newell, PA by Rev. Father Martin and witnessed by Robert Orler and Mary Zugliani. Steve immigrated through Ellis Island Feb. 3, 1902, age 25, to Coal Center, Washington County, PA, just across the Monongahela River from Newell.
Vera was survived by two sons, William Sweitzer, Ambridge, and Peter Sweitzer, Everett; and three daughters, Marie (Sweitzer) [Virgil] Romito, Hopewell, VA; Evelyn (Sweitzer) [Homer] Hall, Everett, with whom she made her home, and Virginia (Dalla Sega) [Ralph] Falcone, Stewarttown, PA.
She was also survived by three brothers, Peter and Joseph Orler, of Ambridge, Beaver County, PA, and Angel H. Orler of Washington, D. C.
Friends were received in the Stewart Funeral Home, Everett, PA, where services were held with Rev. Richard Grumbling officiating. Interment was in Bethel Brethren Cemetery.

In 1920 Vera and daughter young Evelyn were living in the Philip H. Waddell Smith home at 407 Quaker Road, Sewickley, PA. Vera served as a cook and housekeeper. Mr. Smith was the Assistant General Manager for the Standard Underground Cable Company, Pittsburgh, PA. Find A Grave Memorial# 6311932

He married Isabella Williamson Maclaren 28 May 1903, daughter of Donald Maclaren and Elizabeth Green.

Alice Waddell Smith, b. 24 Jan 1906 and Coventry Waddell Smith, b. 23 Jul 1909.
Vera bought the house and farm of about 197 acres from George and Mary Batzel located on Plank Road, Tatesville, near Everett, Bedford County, PA, about 1925. It was not sold again until May 2013.
