Rebecca Ann Bates, my 2nd great grand aunt, was born in New Jersey in 1822 to Moses and Ann Bates. About 1848, she married Albert Wells in New Jersey. They lived in Cinnaminson, Burlington County, New Jersey where they raised three children; Elkanah Harris Wells, Martha Ann Wells and Charles H. Wells. Albert was employed as a farm laborer. Rebecca Ann died in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, New Jersey on May 12, 1900 and was buried in the Asbury Union Methodist Church Cemetery in Cinnaminson, New Jersey on May 16, 1900.
