William T. Baker, 67 year old farmer of Hobbs Island community, died at his home at 10 o"clock this morning in less than an hour after he had been stricken with indigestion. Mr baker appeared to be in good health when he arose at his usual hour and had just completed his morning chores around the house when stricken.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Cobb Baker' eight sons, Harvey Baker of Marshall County, Burt Baker of Owens Cross Roads, Randall Baker, Eugene Baker, Charles L. Baker, Lester Baker and Thurman Baker, all of Hobbs Island' two daughters, Mrs Eula McDonald of Warrior, and Mrs. Beulah Watson of New Hope; four brothers, Allen Baker and Paul Baker of Huntsville, J. T. Baker of Goodlett, TX and Clarence Baker of SC; three sisters, Mrs. Noel Chaney, Morrow, AL, Mrs. Ned Buford and Mrs. Ella Smith, Huntsville, 20 grand children.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with the Rev. H. R. Brannum, officiating.
Internment will be made in Moon (Baker) Cemetery with Laughlin-McCaleb in charge of arrangements. Pall Bearers will be J. C. McDonald, M. M. Gordon, Glenn Parsons, Earl Gunn, W. H. Turner, Lawrence Ivy, J. R. Bell and Ed Smith.
Mr. Baker was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
