The Cumberland News, Cumberland, Maryland, May 27, 1970:

"Mrs. Isabell Lashbaugh, 70, died yesterday at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, where she had been a patient one day. A native of Barton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Clementine (Eisentrout) Davis. Her husband, Dennis Lashbaugh, preceded her in death. Mrs. Lashbaugh was a retiree cook for Barton School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Ada Jewell Circle of the Church, the Daughters of America and Barton Unit 189, American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Howard V. Lashbaugh, Lonaconing; four daughters, Mrs. Daniel Timney, Barton; Mrs. George Czarecki, Illinois; Mrs. Ernest Poland, Barton, and Mrs. Haymond Chaney, Westernport; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Neilson and Mrs. Molly Kiddy, both of Barton; a brother, Melvin Davis, Detroit; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Boal Memorial Chapel here where the family will receive friend from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to p.m. Services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 .p.m. at the Barton Presbyterian Church by Rev. Ronald Pritchard, pastor. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. tomorrow."
