Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, February 2, 1967:

"BARTON-Dennis Lashbaugh, 71, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Raymond Chaney, 211 Hammond Street, Westernport. Born in Barton, he was a son of the late Jacob and Laura (Preston) Lashbaugh. He was a member of the Barton Presbyterian Church and the Junior Order, United American Mechanics. He was a retired coal miner. Surviving are his widow, Isabelle (Davis) Lashbaugh; one son, Howard V., presently home on leave from Vietnam where he is serving with the Army; four daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Timney, Lonaconing; Mrs. Jean Czarnecki, Calumet City, Ill.; Mrs. Lillian Poland, Barton, and Mrs. Chaney; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Boal Memorial Chapel where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. tomorrow. Services will be conducted at the chapel at 2 p. m. Saturday by Rev. Ronald Pritchard, pastor of Barton Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills."
