After a long illness and ill health of five years standing, Charles F. Goodbub died Sunday morning at his home, 729 East Sixth street, aged 61 years. For several years the deceased was totally blind with cataract and had just been relieved of this terrible affliction, when Brights disease attacked him. The deceased was a native of this city and was for many years a prominent contracting carpenter until ill health compelled him to retire. He is survived by one son, Albert S. Goodbub; one daughter, Mrs. John F. Platt; one brother, Louis Goodbub; and two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Kessler and Mrs. C. C. Brown, all of this city. - New Albany Weekly Ledger 24 Apr 1912 p4c3
