GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Oscar Ellwood Cohron, 76, of 2417 Umstead Ave. died Sunday (Sept. 30, 1990) at Britthaven Nursing Home, Kingston.
He was a charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, retired from Southern Life Insurance Co. and a veteran of the Army in World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his widow, Eula (Newberry) Cohron; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Hunnings of Beaufort and Mrs. Betty Gurnee of Selma; a brother, Ward Lee Cohron of Stuarts Draft, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Kyle of Stuarts Draft and Mrs. Jane Godfrey of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A service was conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church by the Rev. Garth Braunlich, with burial at Homestead Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
Arrangements were handled by Farmer Funeral Home in Ayden.
