Ralph Wetzel, 55, died at his home near Cutler last Saturday night, after a four-month illness. Born on a farm two and one-half miles northwest of Mulberry, he was married in 1912 to Lena B. Loman of Cutler, who survives. The couple lived for years on a farm east of Lafayette. Three children were born to them, all deceased. One, a son, was killed near Dayton several years ago when his car was crashed into by a drunken driver.

A brother and five sisters survive: Oliver Wetzel, living southwest of here; Mrs. Alice Yundt of Mulberry, Mrs. Ellen C. Peters of Center, Mrs. Lavinia Sharp of Fall City, Neb., and Mrs. Emma Sibray and Mrs. Nellie Primmer of Frankfort; also a granddaughter, Phyllis Jean Nicholson of Arlington, Va.

Funeral rites were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Cutler. Taking part in the service were a nephew, the Rev. John D. Yundt of Fort Wayne, and two nephews by marriage, the Rev. Harvey Harsh of Detroit and the Rev. E. E. Grice. Interment was in the Ball Hill cemetery.

Those from Mulberry attending besides the sister and the Rev. and Mrs. Grice were Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Yundt and Mrs. Alice Fleischhauer and daughter Janetta. The son-in-law, Lt. John Nicholson of Arlington, Pa., came for the service.
