Born Aug. 2, 1922, in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Bates and Vallie Davis Bates. She was a retired salesperson with Kelley-Reeves Furniture and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Roberts; and one son, Toby Draughon.
Survivors include one son, Terry Draughon of Moultrie; one daughter, Diane Presley and husband Jerald of Meigs; four brothers, Phillip Bates and wife Carolyn of Sasser, Ga., Stanley Bates of Freeport, Fla., Leo Bates of Lake Placid, Fla., and Lee Bates and wife Diane of Leesburg, Ga.; two sisters, Carolyn Harrod and husband Donald and Hazel Wilson and husband Donald, all of Norman Park; four grandchildren, Terry Draughon Jr., Sheila Williams, Julie McLean and Jason Presley; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
