Carolyn Bates Harrod, 79, of Norman Park, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 her home.

Graveside service will be at 3:00PM on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Shane Ashley officiating.

Born on April 26, 1941 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of late Charlie Bates and Vallie Davis Bates. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Harrod; brothers, Leo Bates, Bud Bates, Walstine Bates, Stanley Bates, Kenneth Bates, and Phillip Bates; and sisters, Kate Roberts, and Elizabeth Klaus.

Mrs. Harrod is survived by herson, Patrick Wayne Harrod and wife Jana of Valdosta; daughters, Michelle Godwin and husband Mark of Valdosta, and Suzanne McAlpin Norman Park; brother, Lee Bates and wife Diane of Leesburg; sister, Hazel Wilson of Norman Park; and grandchildren, Anna Beth Harrod, Lucy Grace Harrod, Trentyn Harrod, baby Oliver Harrod, Peyton Haas and husband Tom, Hannah McAlpin, and Chandler Grimes.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Tift Area 618 Central Ave, Tifton, GA 31794.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
