Mrs. Bessie M. Barber, wife of Harry Barber, died Friday, January 5, 1940, at her home in Gamber. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Stimel Fossett. Besides her husband, she leaves the following children: Mrs. Francis Close, Westminster; Mrs. Sterling Green, Gamber; Francis Barber, Bird Hill; Vollen, Raymond, Tillie, Alice, Willard, Evelyn and Woodrow, at home; also five grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Marcus, Arthur, Monroe and Thomas Fossett and Mrs. John Clark, Illinois, and Mrs. V.R. Hawthorne of Chicago.
Funeral services were held at the late residence Monday at 10 A.M., with further services in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, Gamber, and burial in the adjoining cemetery. C.M. Waltz, funeral director.
