Bobbie (Dearybury) Caldwell, 85, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, January 12, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born April 18, 1926, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Overton Franklin Dearybury and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Waldrop) Dearybury.

Bobbie retired from Draper Corp. after 37 years of service. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women, 55 Plus Club, served on the Church Board in various capacities, and was a former Sunday School teacher, a current choir member, and loved her Lord, family, and true friends.

Survivors include her son, the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell and wife Mickie of Spartanburg; daughter, Carole C. Edwards and husband Bill of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Patricia Seay Caldwell of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Frances D. Martin of Cowpens, Estelle D. Davis of Spartanburg, and Joyce D. Cascio of Irmo.

She was predeceased by her son, Donald Edwin "Donnie" Caldwell; sisters, Winifred Dearybury, Amabel D. Hughes, Selma D. Moseley, and Emily D. Moseley; and brothers, O. F. Dearybury, Jr., Jack Dearybury, John Dearybury, and Don Dearybury.

Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roye Lynn Kulik and the Rev. David F. Ervin. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Marty Tindall, Craig Parks, Drew Reynolds, Arthur Moseley, Johnny Dearybury, and Paul Tindall. Honorary escort was friends from Hardees and Dolline's.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 3055 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
