They were listed in the 1930 US Census at Cotton Mill Village No. 1, Spartanburg, Spartanburg Co., SC, as:
Ben C. Dearybury, head, 35, m. age 22, Loom Fixer, Cotton Mill; Celestine, wife, 31, m. age 19; Paul D., son, 10; Nina, dau, 7; Benjamin, son, 3-11/12; and Mary S., dau, 1-2/12; all born in South Carolina.

He died of Apoplexy and Arteriosclerosis at age 64, married, occupation Textile Weaving Overseer; buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, Sparanburg, SC, February 25, 1959.
