from the Republican for June 29, 1905:

Lizton - The funeral of James Montgomery was Saturday afternoon. Jim, as they called him, was a well known citizen. About eighteen months ago his health began to fail. He traveled considerably in search of relief but in vain. A father, two sisters and three brothers mourn his loss. He was a Knight of Pythias and a Red Man and these orders looked after him in his sickness and followed his body to its last resting place.
