The body of Miss Esther A. Montgomery was interred in the Montgomery Cemetery, Lizton, following funeral services in the Baker Funeral Home in Danville Monday afternoon. The Rev. Louis D. Crouch of Lizton officiated for the service. She died, Friday evening, in the Witham Hospital where she had been a patient since February 22.
A life-long resident of the Lizton community, she was born October 4, 1883, the daughter of John L. and Elizabeth Jane Montgomery. She lived in the same homestead near Lizton her lifetime and was a member of the Methodist Church there.
Survivors include a nephew, Russell Montgomery, Lizton, four nieces, Mrs. Pauline Ellett, Indianapolis, Mrs. Wayne Fitzsimmons, Greencastle, Mrs. Mary Bailey, Lizton, and Mrs. Zola Johnston, Pittsboro.
